It is with joy and gratitude that we announce the 2019 Grace Ministers Conference.
There are some exciting new developments regarding this conference. For several years it has been a serious concern to us that the cost of the conference became a burden to our delegates.
After discussions, consulting and much prayer, we decided that the conference will be held at the Bible Institute of South Africa in Kalk Bay. This historical venue where literally thousands of men and women were trained during the past 95 years, is an ideal venue for those who are in ministry to come together to be spiritually refreshed.
We are looking forward to having Rev David Carmichael from Glasgow, UK, in our midst again. He will be sharing with us on the following themes:
Preaching the Cross of Christ
* The Cruelty of the Cross
* The Crisis on the Cross
* The Confession after the Cross
Our second main speaker that has been invited is Dr Tom Nettles from Louisville, USA. It will be his first visit to Grace Ministers Conference and he will be sharing on:
The Life and Pastoral Theology of Charles Haddon Spurgeon
* Charles Spurgeon as a Preacher
* Charles Spurgeon as a Pastoral Theologian
* Charles Spurgeon as a Controversialist
The following people will be speakers during the break-out sessions:
|Neil Henry taught at Secondary School level for 11 years before entering full-time ministry. He is an alumnus of BISA and served as pastor of the Simon's Town Baptist church for four and half years before joining the BISA staff. He serves on the Christian Leadership Programme, which provides training for indigenous pastors and church leaders. His passion is to develop and teach pastors and church leaders in the area of leadership and sound biblical preaching.|
|Tim Churchill is Lecturer and Academic Dean at the Bible Institute of South Africa. Before joining BI Tim served as Lecturer and Academic Dean at Evangelical University in Ndola, Zambia from 2012 to 2016, where he taught courses in Biblical Hebrew and Greek, Exegesis, Biblical Theology, and Biblical Studies for both the Old and New Testaments. He continues to serve as Postgraduate Lecturer with the South African Theological Seminary.|
|Madel Beukes is married to Gideon, vice principal at the Bible Institute of South Africa (BISA). They have been married for 27 years, and have been in full time ministry for 27 years. They have three children, a son in law, and a grandson.
The first 10 years of their marriage they were missionaries in a remote part of Lesotho after which they spent 2 years in Fort Worth Texas, where Gideon furthered his studies. In 2004 they started serving at BISA, where they have been ever since.
The Word of God, and meditating on it, is Madel's greatest passion, and she finds much joy in mentoring women in 'Meditating on the Word'.
We hope that many of our friends will be able to be with us to share in this teaching and fellowship. We are trusting the Lord for the time of rich blessing and will appreciate your prayers too.
